Meet Your Therapist
Helping people navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, confidence and resilience.
Hello, I'm Ali, founder of Inner Mind Navigator and a Clinical Hypnotherapist & Strategic Psychotherapist based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.
I provide therapeutic support in person and online, working collaboratively with people who want to better understand what is happening, develop different ways of responding, and create meaningful change in their lives.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be facing a particular difficulty, living with an ongoing physical or emotional challenge, navigating a period of change, or recognising patterns in your thoughts, feelings or behaviours that you would like to understand and approach differently.
Whatever has brought you here, you don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
Why an Integrative Approach?
An integrative approach allows different evidence-informed therapeutic methods to be brought together thoughtfully, rather than expecting every person or difficulty to fit within a single model.
The way we work is guided by your individual needs, circumstances and goals, alongside the understanding we develop together about the factors that may be contributing to or maintaining the difficulty.
This allows therapy to remain purposeful and individually tailored while drawing on appropriate psychological, cognitive, behavioural and hypnotherapeutic approaches.
Working Together
Finding a therapist you feel comfortable working with is an important part of the therapeutic process.
I place great importance on developing a collaborative therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, heard and able to explore your experiences without judgement.
Our work is not simply about talking through difficulties. Where appropriate, therapy can involve developing practical strategies, exploring different perspectives and responses, and strengthening skills that can support you beyond the therapy room.
You can expect a compassionate, collaborative and professional approach that respects your circumstances, values and goals.
If you'd like to learn more about working together, you are welcome to book a 15-minute Discovery Call or use the Contact Form below.
Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome to begin where you are.

I believe therapy is about creating the space to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and develop more helpful ways of responding to life's challenges.
My approach is collaborative, practical and individually tailored. Together, we explore the patterns in thoughts, emotions, behaviours and responses that may be contributing to or maintaining a difficulty, while recognising the strengths, skills and resources you already possess.
Understanding these patterns is important, but therapy is also about discovering what can be done differently. Depending on your needs and goals, our work may involve developing practical strategies, exploring new perspectives, strengthening emotional and behavioural flexibility, and practising different ways of responding.
There is no single approach that is right for everyone. Therapy is therefore adapted to you rather than expecting you to fit a rigid therapeutic formula.
My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to work alongside you as you develop greater awareness, confidence and flexibility — helping you make choices and changes that are meaningful to you.

I believe meaningful therapeutic work develops within a relationship built on trust, respect, collaboration and open communication.
I see therapy as a collaborative process rather than something that is done to you or for you. Your experiences, goals, preferences and autonomy remain central throughout our work together.
You are encouraged to ask questions, share feedback and talk openly about how you are experiencing the therapeutic process. This helps us work together in a way that remains responsive and relevant to you.
My role is to provide a supportive and professional space where we can explore difficulties with curiosity, develop greater understanding, and identify practical ways forward.
Above all, I want our work together to feel like a genuine partnership — one in which you are actively involved in the direction and development of your therapy.

My practice is guided by professional and ethical standards and a commitment to evidence-informed practice.
I hold professional indemnity insurance, maintain Basic DBS check, engage in regular clinical supervision, and undertake ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support safe, ethical and effective practice.

Alongside my broader therapeutic work, I provide specialist support for fear of flying and aviation-related anxiety.
In addition to being a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Strategic Psychotherapist, I am also a pilot. This combination allows me to bring together therapeutic understanding with practical knowledge of aviation and the experience of flying.
Many people with a fear of flying understand logically that air travel is generally safe, yet their mind and body can still respond as though there is a threat. Knowing the facts does not always change the emotional or physiological response — which can make the experience particularly frustrating and difficult to understand.
My approach focuses on helping you understand the patterns and responses associated with your fear, develop practical strategies for managing anxiety, and build greater confidence around flying. Where helpful, we can also explore aviation-related concerns and develop a more realistic understanding of what happens during different stages of a flight.
Whether you have an upcoming journey, experience anxiety whenever you fly, or have avoided flying for many years, support is tailored to your individual experience, needs and goals.
