Living with Chronic Pain

Living with ongoing pain can affect far more than your physical wellbeing. It can influence your mood, sleep, relationships, confidence and ability to take part in the activities that matter to you.

When pain persists, it is understandable to feel frustrated, exhausted or discouraged. Pain can begin to influence how you think, feel and respond, as well as the choices you make in everyday life.

Therapy provides a space to explore the psychological, emotional and behavioural impact of living with chronic pain. Our work may include understanding patterns around pain, developing practical coping and self-regulation strategies, and exploring different ways of responding to difficult sensations, thoughts and emotions.

My approach integrates Clinical Hypnotherapy with evidence-informed psychological, cognitive and behavioural approaches, tailored to your individual experience, circumstances and goals.

Therapeutic support for chronic pain is complementary to appropriate medical care. It does not diagnose or treat the underlying medical cause of pain and should not replace medical assessment or treatment.

Taking the Next Step

You don't have to navigate the experience of living with persistent pain on your own.

If you would like to explore whether my approach may be suitable for you, you're welcome to book an appointment. We can discuss how pain is affecting your life, what you would like support with, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

No two people experience persistent pain in exactly the same way. Therapy is tailored to your individual circumstances, needs and goals, within a supportive and confidential therapeutic relationship.

Support begins here.
